  1. I don’t have an Instagram either for that reason. It seems like so many people to try “compete” with followers/likes and such and I don’t want to get into that. I may get one in the future ( I’ve always thought that it would be cool to have an account for my photography ) but we’ll see. 🙂

    1. I feel the same way. I would’t like to get too obsessed on numbers, I just want to enjoy taking photos. Let me know if you get it and what it’s like 🙂

      1. Yeah, I typically just post the featured image from a blog post and say for example, “Did this Wonder Woman tutorial on my blog 🙂 link in bio!” then add some tags and tag brands I’ve used, if that helps any

  2. I recently opened an Instagram account! I totally get what you’re saying. I can see that aspect of it. I have been enjoying it though. I find that Facebook has gotten really controlling about what is shown and what isn’t, so I like that Instagram doesn’t seem to censor people. I will also say that I have seen some beautiful pics and met some really good people. I think in general, we all have to be aware of the effect of social media on our self esteem. It can really drag you down! Thanks for a great, thought-provoking post Ella!

    1. I agree there’s definitely positives and negatives with social media. You’ve got to try to keep it positive and not let it affect your self-esteem!
