Food for Thought: Mindfullness…

“Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally,” – Jon Kabat-Zinn.

My Interpretation: take your time with self-improvement, the present is the only point of change, be kind to yourself and others.

This was inspired by a Lecture given as part of my Universities Psychology Society. I’ve made the best effort to find and cite the original source (see reference below).

  1. What a great statement on which to be Mindful for a while.

    I really agree with your interpretation, as it reminds us that yesterday and tomorrow don’t exist, but instead take right now to make the changes, as this is all we actually have.

    Thank you for your insight. It is very refreshing even if it is short.
